Camden County Community Alerts is participating in the Missouri Cellcast Alerts project which is an alert system to allow the registered public to be contacted directly in case of an emergency via

email
text messaging
Messages may include alerts about emergencies such as traffic, school information, criminal information, floods, chemical spills, major fires, acts of terrorism, and weather-related emergencies, and what to do in those situations.
The Sheriff has been using deputies, sirens, radio stations and televisions stations to alert those in the county of information about their safety and well-being. This means of deployment takes time and manpower which is so important in emergencies.
Sheriff Page is bringing to the community a way to deliver important information instantly. If you want to be the first to know what is happening in your community, register to receive these alerts. You can choose what alerts you wish to receive and the method in which you want to be alerted. If you change your mind you can always change later.
This system will not work with out the support of registered public, so, if you have not already done so, please register and pass on the information to your family, friends and neighbors.
